Four people arrested after luring woman to East Rockaway home, assaulting and robbing her

Four people were arrested in East Rockaway on Thursday after allegedly luring a woman to a home and assaulting and robbing her.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, Anthony Battaglia, 22, lured an unidentified 20-year-old woman to the East Rockaway home he shares with his brothers, Robert and Brandon Battaglia, both 21. Once inside, the three brothers assaulted the victim along with Kristin Milbank, 19, of Oceanside. They punched and kicked the victim multiple times and stole her pocketbook.

The woman was able to escape the scene and contacted the police. She suffered injuries to her arms and legs, but refused medical attention.

When police arrived, Anthony Battaglia and Milbank were placed under arrest without incident, but Robert and Brandon Battaglia attempted to run away and struggled with police officers, and were eventually taken into custody. During the struggle, a sergeant sustained injuries to his arm and shoulder and was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.

Anthony Battaglia and Milbank were both charged with two counts of second-degree robbery, while Robert Battaglia was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery, second-degree assault and resisting arrest and Brandon Battaglia was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery, resisting arrest, third-degree menacing and second-degree harassment.

All four were arraigned on Friday at First District Court, in Hempstead.
