Book discussion with Tova Mirvas

Author Tova Mirvis has already established herself as a first-rate novelist with The Ladies Auxiliary, The Outside World, and Visible City. She will be at the East Meadow Library for a discussion about her latest book, “The Book of Separation,” on Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m. This memoir follows the story of a woman who leaves her faith and her marriage and sets out to navigate the terrifying, liberating terrain of a newly mapless world. On Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m., Mirvis will be at the library for a meet-and-greet. Mirvis will describe how she left both Orthodox Judaism and her marriage, and followed her inner compass to forge a new life for herself and her children, while seeking her own path to happiness.
