Bring your significant other to date night at Club Pilates East Meadow for a special session of Reformer 1 class on Friday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. Club Pilates is located at 1949 Front Street in East Meadow. Please sign up at the front desk.  

6th Annual Chili Cook-Off

Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, at 369 Green Ave. in East Meadow, will be hosting its 6th Annual Chili Cook-off on Feb. 23 at 11 a.m. Tickets are $10 per person, including all you can eat chili. There is a nominal charge for beverages. The top three chili entries get a prize and anyone can vote. For those observing the Great Lent, this is a chance to eat meat before it begins. HooDoo Loungers celebrate Mardi Gras

Celebrate Mardi Gras with the HooDoo Loungers on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Samanea New York Market, the former Source Mall in Westbury. The HooDoo Loungers take their inspiration from the Gri Gri of Dr. John to the Swingin’ Rock N’ Roll of Fats Domino. They blend it all together with a bit of classic soul and New Orleans Swing for an inspired and original musical gumbo. Nominated in 2018 for “Best Self produced CD of the Year” by the National Blues Foundation, the HooDoo’s are delighted to be playing their first show presented by the East Meadow Public Library.
